Hi, can anyone tell me what is 'normal''
for this test. I had a 5 hour test
yesterday and felt really ill and hypo
after 2 hours. The nurse did 6 blood
draws and also did 3 glucometer readings.
They were 5.5 fasting ( some symptoms), 1
hour later felt really good, 2 hours ok ,
3 hours later starting to feel hypo (
7.6), and 4 hours felt worse ( 4.5), and 5
hours felt slightly worse again. I see
the dr in 2 weeks. Do the glucometer
readings mean anything re hypoglecemia ?
I felt really ill after the test.
I went on the atkins type diet once many
years ago and felt wonderful. But
gradually slipped back into 'normal' food
again - sandwiches, pasta, then got
hungrier and shakier and now have to eat
every 2 hours or I feel like I am going to
collapse. I wake at night hungry too.
