Just a Question

Maybe this is a silly question but i'm just curious. Can you get aids/hiv if you have any type of unprotected sex with someone if they have havent got aids/hiv themselves? Eg. Any type of sex - male/male or male/female. Basically can the virus be created? Just wondering. :d

Hiv Question

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever of being infected with hiv from a person who does not have the virus themselves. Hiv is not simply created from thin air, and if two people who do not have hiv engage in sexual intercourse with eachother, they will not be infected with hiv. You can't create it yourself.
However, if you have had unprotected sexual intercourse with someone of unknown hiv status, test at three months. Remember though, the chances of a negative result are very much in your favour - the probability of being infected with hiv after having vaginal intercourse with someone with the hiv virus is around 1-3% per episode. It is higher in cases of anal sex.
