Blood In the urine after bladder infections Posted: 04-06-05 11:50am
Okay, I have had 3 bladder infections in
the past year and a half. So when I felt
like I was getting another one at the
beginning of the week, I went to the
infirmary here at my college. The quick
urine dip showed positive for blood, so
the sample was sent to the hospital to get
checked under a microscope. It came back
as positive for blood, but no signs of
infection. The doctor at the infirmary
seemed a little concerned and confused.
I am supposed to go back on monday to get
another test done. I'm a little freaked
out! It is not enough blood that I can
see it when I pee... Does anyone know
what could cause this? Because i'm going
to worry til I know whats wrong. Any
opion would be appreciated!

I guess no one knows. Heres whats going
on now though. I went back to the
infirmary today and got another urinalysis
done. The blood was low enough not to
make a difference, and they told me to
come back if I was having any symptoms.
I'm not having bad symptoms, like pain or
anything. But I am peeing all the time!
So still, if anyone has any opinions, let
me know.

I just had a bladder infection (for me,
it's the first one I ever had) and the
doctor prescribed this medication. After I
started taking it (I don't know if it's
related to the medication or what), I
started urinating blood clots. It doesn't
hurt when I urinate like when I had the
infection, but seeing all this blood and
all these clots is really scaring me.
Unfortunately, I don't have any answers
either. Seeing how this post is from 3
years ago, did you find any additional
info on it?
