Face Breaking Out On Birth Control Posted: 04-06-05 13:11pm
I just started taking orthotryclen lo
about a month ago and my face has broken
out bad! Has any one else experienced
this and is there anything I can do?

Comparing orthotricyclen-lo is often
prescribed for acne, I don't understand.
I was just prescribed it for mine, in
fact... Go to your doctor and perhaps you
can get a topical cream for it, however.

It might get worse before it gets better.
You've just introduced your body to more
hormones, so its most likely going to go a
little crazy at first. Only until you
get used to the extra hormones.
I would use a benzoyle peroxide product
like oxy or something in the meantime. I
actually just read in a magazine that an
over-the-counter benzoyle peroxide product
is just as effective as some prescription
products...Plus they're a lot cheaper.
Give it a few months...If things aren't
clearing up talk to your doctor about
switching brands or something.

Well, benzoyl peroxide is benzoyl
peroxide. Just don't use the b. Peroxide
along with a salicylic acid product. My
friend did and got the worst results!
