My bf broke his jaw a couple days ago in 2 places :( if anyone knows anything about broken jaws and such plz email me back. I want to know how long it takes to heal and how can he not lose so much weight cuz he is already small... If any1 knows anything or has been in his place plzzzz email me back!! :(

Hi there! Does he have his jaw wired shut, if he does, I do understand how he he feels. He can have milk shakes thru a straw, their are protein powder shakes, ensure, their are even powder stuff that you can mix w/milk that will put weight on.

My best friend had his jaw broken like that, it was really hard on him. Milk shakes and protein shakes are best, but if he gets really desperate he can always put other foods through a food processor or a blender, just to get the extra calories and protein he needs. My friend did that. It may seem gross to you but if he feels he wants to do that, just support him. While everyone is different, most bones take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to heal. My firend's took a while longer because of how his was broken, almost 2 months. Just be there for him when he needs you, and make sure he doesn't skip any of his doctors appointments.

How much weight did your friend lose? Was he depressed? I need more soanyone thathas brokentheir jaw or know anyone who did post
