Re: Ithchy Red Bumps All Over Body Posted: 10-30-06 21:07pm
I'v had hives for 4 months spreading over
different parts of my body. I've been
treated by a gp and a dermatologist.
They gave me cortisome cream, claritin and
prednisone. The predinisome may be
helping. I'm going to rheumatologist and
an allergist this week so I can find out
the cause. My gyn reccomended the
rheumatologist. Other symptoms i'm having
are insomnia, numbness in my arms and
hands and muscle and joint pain especially
at night. Do you have any of these
symptoms? Sue35054

My first question would be. Did you have
hives from anything recently? Usually a
form of allergic dermatitis. Sometimes
hives, if scratched incessantly, can
spread all over your body. Prednisone
should do the trick.

Hey all....The spots with itch sounds like
scabies...My sisters family have just been
through a hell of a time with it. They
started with my nieces baby and the
community nurse kept diagnosing dermatitis
until it spread to my sisters two little
girls who's doctor very quickly diagnosed
scabies...He prescribed a one time
treatment which apparently is not very
pleasant but it worked.

Red Itchy Bumps All Over My Body Posted: 04-13-07 11:18am
I've got red itchy bumps that started on
my breast and are spreading all over my
stomach, back, top of legs, under arms
etc. I don't have a fever or feel bad,
same as described by a few people here.
The problem is everyone is putting what is
wrong with them, but no replies as to what
it really is. My doctor said Scabies, but
I spent $110 on the medicine and no
results so I'm going to a dermatologist at
2:00 today and if he gets it right I will
be sure to post it back on here so
hopefully it could help someone else.

Re: Red Itchy Bumps All Over My Body Posted: 04-13-07 15:51pm
I'm back from the doctor and he seemed to
know what I had the minute he laid eyes on
me. It's Pityriasis Rosea. Everybody is
different and I didn't have a Herald patch
which is what it starts with and my bumps
were mainly small. I did have some maybe
the size of a dime if that, but not that
many. They vary from person to person, I
thought that was what it was because I
didn't have any on my face. (Even though
you can, most people don't). He gave me a
shot of cortizone to dry them up faster,
Atarax for itching and a Zithromax Z-Pack
because it's probably a coinsident but my
throat is beginning to hurt and he wanted
to make sure anything that might could
have been the cause of it or irriates it
was going away. It is not usually spread
from person to person and it didn't seem
to spread by scratching it either. Many
people's bumps don't itch, but mine are an
uncontrollable itch. It seems to come from
a virus, but not known for sure. If
untreated will eventually go away. Mine
started a week ago today and he said it
will take a week to really know they are
going away. Hope this helps someone!

Hot Tub - Could Be the Answer?? Posted: 05-02-07 03:07am
So many of these posts seem to be exactly
what I'm having but I don't see any follow
up as to treatment and has this problem
went away for everyone?
The April/May thing rings a bell because
the 1st week of April, I'm laying out in
the back yard.. come in to take a shower
and I notice over 30 bites (or what I
thought were bites) on me...red bumps (no
head.. no puss.. and no itch.. but
horrible looking acne-like big red bumps)
long story short, it's now a month later
and after going to the doctor and it first
being diagnosed as "insect bites" then two
weeks later scabies... and doing weeks of
treatment for each and cleaning my house
like the worst OCD person ever to prevent
reinfection, I still have them. My
girlfriend even got a few of them.. but
nothing like me..
On a bad week I have 100 of these red
things mainly across my waist line and
area where your shorts would be... but
not below and hardly ever above (an
occasional one or two on my arms)...
I never thought the hot tub could cause
such a thing but we did buy a hot tub just
a week or so before this started
happening.
I stayed out of it the first week this
happened and KEPT getting new bumps in
places they weren't the day before so I
ruled out the hottub early (as did the
doc).. but now he's stumped and is about
to schedule appointment with a
dermatologist..
I'm afraid they won't know either..
and yes this is very stressfull and
annoying for so long!
We're going to the hot tub dealer tomorrow
and try to get to the bottom of testing
the water... we put the chemicals in
regularly as suggested but I wonder if it
could be the chemicals themselves??
Bottom line, no matter what caused it...
has anyone found a way to get rid of it?

It sounds like psoriasis. My father has
that, for many many years now. He's been
on different treatments but none really
helped much. It'll be great if someone
can recommend new treatments for him?

Hello, this is my first time posting on
here. I've been going through similar
symptoms with some other stuff too. Have
any of you felt intense heat or burning on
the bottoms of your feet, itching on your
feet. Immense itchy once out of the
shower? Towels spotting like that of a
bleach stain? Anybody? Please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Hot Tub - Could Be the Answer?? Posted: 08-28-07 03:53am
Yours sounds more like what I've been
going through for over a year now. One
thing I forgot to ask everybody in a
previous letter was that does anybody have
a dog? I've always wondered if it was my
dog and I was wondering maybe if it was
him or if this is just a virus we can all
pass on to one another. I've had it for
over a year now maybe even longer. It's
driving me nuts. Some days its good and
some days it's really bad. I also feel
creepy crawlies on my buttocks and face
some days. I've had bad sores just come
out of nowhere and pimples that hurt so
bad you wanna die. My scalp, groin,
buttocks, arms, biceps really bad and
armpits. I've never had this before.
Nothing like this ever. It's horrible.
I've been diagnosed with scabies and
whatever have you. But those were all BS.
Well if I have scabies how come no one
else does? I have to spray rubbing alcohol
on me just to get to sleep and stop me
from itching. I can't take this anymore
and I'm sick of doctors saying it's this
and that. Nothing. One guy thought maybe
IBS and he gave me a drug for that and for
a few days I was good. But just not sure.
Maybe it is a bacteria that derives from
bad digestion or what have you. I'm just
so sick of it. I can't find anything
online anywhere. I bleach towels on the
really bad days. Some tee shirts are
starting to get holes in them and they'll
discolor eventually. The holes look like
bugs are biting through it. It's crazy.
And some days I'm so hot and dizzy I
almost pass out. And pain in my neck going
through to my brain. It's horrible. Yet
the doctors draw blood and say I'm a
perfectly healthy adult. Hopefully someone
knows something out there.

My Mom Has Mystery Bumps!! Posted: 11-07-07 16:10pm
My mom has red bumps on her chest and
upper back! They look like pimples, but
only some have white heads. She was
soaking in the bath on Saturday night in
this weird swell-reducing bath mix for
pregnant women, shes not pregnant but, you
know, its a bath soak, so she decided to
use it anyhow. Its Wednesday and they are
still going strong. I looked up everything
that people have mentioned and they are
all different. Think hundreds of pimples
on a 50-year olds chest and upper back. I
don't know what to do! Please help me!!!
Thx.

I woke up Saturday morning with what
looked like 100 insect bites on my butt
cheek! It wasn't itchy but they were red
and bumpy. But by the next day, they were
itchy like crazy and most of them formed a
pus and looked like huge pimples. We
thought everything from bug bites to soap
allergy, but nothing made sense until my
husband found this website: http://www.parpool-spa.com/Page/

hi
I'm 14 and I've also been getting the same
symptoms as a lot of you have been having.
I was sleeping and during the night I got
really itchy and in the morning, all these
little, red bumps were there.
It's all on my arms, lower back, thigh,
legs, and now there are a few near my
neck. I have already washed my sheets,
blankets, pillowcases, and any dirty
clothes in my room. I do feel better but
it still itches and the bumps are still
there. I plan on going to the doctor
sometime this week but I am worried about
these bumps.
So if anyone has any ideas, please says
so.
thanks!

I have it right now and I'm trying to find out more about it Posted: 03-28-08 00:27am
Yes, I have red, itchy bumps all over my
body. I first noticed them on my back and
then it spread to my shoulders, neck,
face, chest, legs, feet and even around my
belly botton. So, pretty much everywhere.
But they were not itchy on my back until a
few days later. I was told from friends
that they are from dust mites. But I think
possibly from spring season. I've never
had these before nor have I ever had
chickenpox. So very itchy right now. I'm
just trying not to scratch them. Tomorrow,
I'll go see my doctor and hopefully know
more about it. I'll post it.

i had something similar Posted: 03-30-08 14:39pm
One night i woke up with little, non-itchy
bumps over my upper back. I was told by
friends that they were dust mites but my
boyfriend did not have any. Two days
later, I woke up and tiny, red, itchy
bumps appeared on my neck, behind the
ears, shoulders, and arms. By the end of
the day, red rashes of different sizes
covered my entire body from head to toe.
They were on my face, stomach, in between
my thighs, on my legs, and at my ankles.
At this point, I was freaking out so Iwent
to the hospital. On the way there, my left
ear swelled up. The Dr said it was an
allergic reaction to something new I've
come into contact with but I am still
alittle unsure about that. I was given a
shot of a steroid and benadyrl and a
prescription for Zyrtec. My rashes
disappeared the next moringing. However,
tiny, itchy red bumps appeared on my arms
by the end of that day. After I took
Benadyrl, they went away. Its been one day
since and the bumps have not returned.

People, these are called HIVES (in medical
lingo, uticaria). Most people get them at
some point in their lives, and about 80%
of cases are from unknown causes.
