Implantation Bleeding? Posted: 04-09-05 16:48pm
Hi all -
i have spent the last 3 days back and
forth at dr's offices. I am just 6 weeks
pregnant with an ear infection, throat
infection and sinus infection. My ob and
my primary dr have differed on opinion of
whether or not I have a uti and I even
went so far as to have them do a sono (i
was only 5 wks 5 days when I went there)
they can't see the heartbeat yet (too
early), I still have morning sickness and
I am exhausted and aside from all the
other infection I have I am most nervous
about the reason they think/ don't think I
have a uti. The issue is that I am
bleeding, lightly when I urinate. No
staining in my panties, no spotting, but
the toilet paper is pink on occasion when
I wipe. (i am sorry if this is tmi but I
am so nervous) I also am not having any
cramps. I had a urine culture done monday
that came back neg. For a uti and the
urologist did another culture today. He
also wants me to go for a sono of my
kidneys and bladder to rule out stones. I
guess my concern is that since I have been
bleeding on and off when I urinate for a
week that there is something going on with
the pregnancy. Have any of you had
implantation bleeding? (this is what my
mfm Dr. Thinks it is but I am not so
sure) is this what it does or is it
staining/spotting?? How long does it
last? I am extremely nervous about
bleeding - I didn't know I was pregnant
with my daughter (she is now 3) because I
got my period the first month. Thank you
so much in advance for any advice/info you
can give!!

The bleeding sounds like what I had, which
is implantation bleeding......I had it
like 3 days before I was supposed to get
my period, so I was probably like 3 weeks
pregnant then, or something like

when did u find out u were pregnanct with
ur daughter???? Were u going through any
symptoms?

did it land when you counted back... B/c
w/ me I had my u/s done at 18weeks and 6
days (by lmp) and my u/s measurements were
19 weeks and 4 days what does this mean
b/c when I count back the days it landed
like 5 days before m period. That doesn't
mean that this in when I got preggo
right?? Don't you count ahead 2 weeks
like say my last period was dec. 19 then
that means I would have concieved around
dec 31 jan 1 and 2.. The same goes for
u/s right?? It just means that my baby is
a little bigger...

conceived? It's not a big deal if
they're off a little bit. All your posts
are about this. Relax about it. Did
you sleep with someone else the week
before or something?

that anytime anyone posts about anything u

they're off by a couple of days it's not a
big deal. They can't be exact unless you
had sex once in a matter of a like 2
weeks.
Please don't worry too much about it. My
son was measuring 1 lb heavier than
"normal" babies at my 32 week u/s. So
he's gonna be big, that's probably all it
is!

that was dec. 31 jan 1 and 2.. And my
last period was on dec. 19 and me and my
b/f had been broken up and I sleep with
my ex on dec. 17 and what do you know me
and my b/f work things out and we had sex
the first and second day of my period and
we didn't have sex again until dec 31 jan
1 and 2 and thats when I think I got
pregnant and when I was ovulating... But
since by u/s when I count back it lands a
few days before my period which scares me
b/c I don't want to be pregnant by my ex.
So I just ask to get input and see if
people think that it is possible but i've
heard that they add 2 weeks on to
pregnancy so if thats the case then I have
nothing to worry about... I just want to
see what people say because I dont' want
to be blind about it.. It doesnt' really
bother me all the time plus my Dr. Said I
concived around dec. 31 it just confuses
me that my u/s says this. From time to
time I get scared and start stressing
about it... So thats my dramatic story..
My b/f and I had been split up for some
time and then I finally start going out
and I started to talk to my ex again and
what do you know we ended up sleeping
together we did use protection though.
Then with my luck I end up getting back w/
my b/f 2 days later, I feel like i'm in
the clear b/c I had my period and my ex
and I used protection but hey you never
know and now that me and my b/f are
plannig to move in togther and are getting
so excited I just feel what if???? Oh and
yes he knows I slept with my ex,, I just
dont' think he knows it was that close
together?? So now you know why I ask that
question ever chance I get I want to hear
everyone's input...

ok got it! Thought it was something like
that. I think you're fine cause you did
get your period plus, if you went and read
that link I gave you for pregnancy
calculator/calendar, you'll see they
always add 2 weeks before you conceived,
so by you , you had sex the 31st lets say
but by u/s they'll say you're 2 weeks more
than that which would fall right when
you're worried about, because that is when
they start calculating it. I hope you
understand what i'm trying to say.
Don't worry i'm sure it's your bf's.
