Weaning Off Wellbutrin Xl Posted: 04-12-05 18:23pm
Hi, I just joined the forum. :)
i've been taking wellbutrin xl for
depression for almost a year and a half.
After the first two weeks of adjustment
hell, it's been great! It's helped my
anxiety as well as add (i've struggled
with that since childhood). However, i'm
trying to convert to a holistic lifestyle,
and i'm studying some homeopathic and
herbal alternatives. I know they're not
fda approved, but I have a naturopathist
who can evaluate and guide me. And if it
does not work for me, I know the
wellbutrin does work, so I can get back on
it. I'm just trying to do what I feel is
most healthy. I hate that I feel I have
to justify that, but I get a lot of flack
about this. So please don't respond to
tell me the dangers of homeopathics. I
know what they are; I also know the
dangers of heavy chemical medications.
Sorry to sound rude, just being
straight-up. :)
anyway.... What I would like to find is a
plan for weaning myself off wellbutrin xl
(300mg). I know it will not be a good
idea to just stop taking it; I would go
crazy if I did that. Can someone
recommend a way to do this?
Thanks in advance. :)

Your doctor knows best. Becuase it is an
extended relase med...You cannot break the
pill in half to get a smaller does. You
will need your doctor...Will take about a
month.
