Partner Diagnosed With Gardenella Posted: 04-13-05 02:22am
My partner has been diagnosed with
gardenella and I am wondering how it
typically presents itself in men. I am
unsure if I am now dealing with just
gardenella or have another std. I am
experiencing red splotches on just the
head of my penis. They do not get
enlarged or pimple-like, rather they are
flat and red and difficult to see, but the
discoloration is certainly there. I have
no discharge or pain when urinating, or
any other symptoms. Anyone else out there
go through a gardenella infection and
could relate their symptoms?

Unprotected Sex? Posted: 06-22-05 21:20pm
Did you have unprotected sex because if
you did you most likely have whatever she
or he has... But it sounds to me like a
yeat infection but most likely the only
way a man gets a yeast infection is by
unprotectected sex with a woman. Anyways
go to the doctor both are treatable.

It turned out to be lichen planus and was
easily treated with clobetasol propionate,
the bumps went away in about 2 weeks.

Relax! Posted: 06-24-05 12:32pm
Relax, because it is not a virus or
anything majorly serious. A virus does
not cause gardenella vaginosis; genital
symptoms caused by viruses include the
venereal wart and genital wart. This
infection (bv) is the most common cause of
vaginal symptoms among women, not men,
especially those who are sexually active.
It is a painful inflammation of the vagina
whose symptoms include an abnormal fishy
smelling discharge. It is also referred
to as nonspecific vaginitis.
Sometimes it "stinks" being a woman. I
was trying to use a little humor here!
Stick with the doctor and discuss your
concerns with your pcp in case i'm missing
something.
