Need Workout Help And Advice Posted: 04-13-05 15:34pm
I played football and lifted weights
everyday from freshman year to senior year
of high school so I was in pretty good
shape, but soon after my senior year
ended, I got a job where all I do is sit.
I never really had much more time to
workout so I lost alot of muscle mass and
started to gain some weight. I have been
working out for a couple weeks right now.
I was going to take creatine, but im
already at 220 and I would like to lose
fat and gain muscle and hopefully bring
that to about 210 - 215. I know creatine
makes you gain weight, but would I lose
the fat that I have or would I just look
fatter? If creatine isnt the way to go,
does anyone know of any fat burning
supplements that would be good? Thanks!

My understanding of creatine is that it
only helps to build muscle, it does not
help to reduce fat. You would have to
burn the fat off some other way.. So if
you want to build muscle creatine won't
hurt, but it won't help you in "losing"
weight. As for fat burners, i'm not
sure. Most diet pills only curb
appetites and if you are trying to build
muscle, that's not the way to go.
Although it is possible that if the
creatine helps build the muscle, that it
will indirectly give a boost to your
metabolism, since increased muscle mass
helps increase your metabolism.
