My name is judy and I am 18 years old. I
was wondering if someone can just give me
some information on anything relating to
this.....We found out my father was
epileptic about a year and a half ago at
the age of 52. At the time he had gone
through all hte scans and testing and they
had told him that he did not have any kind
of tumor etc. Now recently, he went in
and went through scans and testing again
and he has a tumor. Every information
that I look at says that epilepsy can be
caused by tumors... So did they just miss
it? I didnt read anywhere that epilepsy
can cause tumors. I guess i'm just really
confused and am looking for anything to
calm my mind. So far, they have told us
that it is not cancerous and they even
scheduled his next appointment for months
later so that makes me think that it's not
that serious, but maybe i'm just being
overly optimistic. Any kind of feedback
would be greatly appreciated because I
have a hard time talking about this with
him since he lives as though he doesnt
have it. Thank you in advance for any
help!!

I am so sorry you have a tumor to worry
about. There are cysts and things that
cause no problems too. Yes, some people
with epilepsy can see the cause as a
tumor. Some have a tumor plus e but they
are not related.
I hope you have a very good doctor who
listens to you. So sorry that your father
is also dealing with this.
