Q: Help Please!!!

Ok so my question/ story is long and confusing but I need help/advice so here goes nothing:

i am 20 yrs old and I am currently in a relationship. I have been with this person for a year next month, and there is a chance that I could be pregnant. I have talked to him about this and we are not fearing this but I need some answers from someone. We have sex without a condom and he "pulls out" before he ejaculates. Well I started my period the last time on march 1, 2005 and so obviously I am late. Well I do not know when I ovulate and such and this may sound stupid but it confuses me so any help there would be greatly appreciated as well.So therefore I wouldnt know how far I am or the chances of me being pregnant right now. For about 3 days last week off and on I began to feel sick to my stomach but never threw up and I have been sleeping a lot more and peeing a lot more. I also have always had large breasts and small nipples but I noticed the other day that my nipples seem to be getting darker and larger (could this possibly be b/c they are still growing?) so I am not sure if those are symptoms or not. But my medical history also plays into this I was in a relationship before this one for about 2 years and during that time my period came very rare like maybe once ever 5 months. I went to my Dr. And he didn't know anything he took tons of blood and did tons of test but never an internal ultrasound or anything and told me I had polycystic ovaries (which thankfully turned out to be untrue). I had evenatually went to about 5 different Dr. Including emergency drs and not one person could tell me what was wrong. My insurance ran out and I couldn't afford to go to a obgyn. So when I left that relationship my period began to come around more often but never regular. So I personally concluded that it may have been due to stress from my last relationship. And since I have been in this relationship we have only had one time when I was late enough to take a test, so I am not sure if I should be concerned or if this just may be a repeat of earlier problems. I know that it is possible to get pregnant from precum. I also had a miscarrige when I was 17 so I dont know if that can cause problems with getting pregnant or if that maybe a reason for my problems. Any advice would help. I know the thing to do would to be go and buy a test but I don't want to get my hopes up again I would like to get some advice on this before I think about it way too much, not to say that I don't care I want to know so I can get the care that I need now but I feel that you guys may be able to tell me more about my situation than a pregnancy test can. Thank you for your time and sorry for taking up so much room

This board has been a help to me but I don't think anyone can help you more than a pregnancy test can. The symptoms are there but you won't know until you take a test. A hpt is easy and relatively quick to provide and answer. Taking a test is definitely the way to go...

Hi,

if you are pregnant, you would be around 7 weeks - give or take a few days, depending on when you ovulated.

With all the symptoms you have listed, it sounds like you could very well be pregnant. Go pee on a stick and find out!!

Good luck!

i had a question to ask you hopefully you may be able to help me out to ok here it goes.. I had protected intercorse on dec. 17 and I started my period on dec.19 I had unprotected sex on the 19 and the 20.. (while on my period) I did not have sex again until dec 31 jan 1 and 2nd (unprotected) and my boyfriend came in me ever time.. I found out I was pregnant on jan. 14 just recently I went to my Dr. It was on apr. 12 and she told me I was 16 weeks which in my head I thought I was 14 weeks b/c I think I got pregnant dec. 31 I was told thats when I was ovulating.. Ne ways my question is what do you think the chances of me getting pregnant on dec. 17 (2 days before my period) as far as I know the condom didn't break.. The only reason i'm worried is b/c my boyfriend and I were broken up and I sleep with my ex (on the 17th) but we did use a condom. I was just woundering do you think there is any chance it could be his.( my ex) i'm really scared.. Do I have anything to worry about ... Thank you so much

Just so you know, the "pulling out" method is not a form of birth control. The most potent sperm is in a guy's pre-ejaculation, which they have somewhere between inserting in you and pulling out. Therefore, you can get pregnant with this method, trust me, I did.

I Know
I know that precum can get you pregnant. I am not worried about being pregnant if I am it will not be a problem we have talked about it. I was just wanting some advice on wether my medical history could be repeating it's self or if I should go forth with taking a test. It was just that the women on here seemed to know quite a bit about these things, so I was searching for some advice that's all. I never said that it was a method of birth control. It's not that he is pulling out to try and prevent pregnancy we are just at that point where we are okay if it happens but it's not something that we have to have right this moment. But thank you for your concern.

And thank you to all the ppl who posted on here I appreciate it very much!!

katie_33 - if you got pregnant around dec 17, you would be about 21 weeks pregnant (from your last period) this week.

I would think it would be safe to assume that you didn't get pregnant by your ex.

However, dates can be off by a few weeks. To confirm this, ask your doctor when he/she thinks you ovulated - if it is around mid december, looks like your ex is it. Don't get scared until you find out all the information you can. (i know it is easier said than done)

good luck and I hope everything works out for you!

pinksneakerz: have you taken a test yet???
