Depo Provera Causing My Headaches? Posted: 04-19-05 18:28pm
I have been on depo provera for about a
year now. I am 18 years old. My periods
stopped completely after the first shot.
All was hunky dory until I started to have
chronic headaches and migraines at least
once a week. I have been to the doctor
and he has perscribed two different
headache meds and one injection that I
give myself when I get a migraine. None
of them have worked. I am wondering if
these headaches are caused by the depo
provera shot. I am also wondering if
headaches are common side effects of other
forms of birth control. Also, if I
switch from depo to some other form of bc
do I have to wait a certain amount of time
between the shot and taking the new form?
