I've Got An Odd Question...please Help
Posted: 04-19-05 20:42pm

I started taking birth control about a year ago...Got off of it a month later due to side effect of acne...My skin cleared...I then went on to try another b/c and got the same side effects. I then quit taking it again...But my skin hadn't returned to normal. It's been like 6 months and I have tried different ones to try and now clear my face. I decided a month ago to quit taking it all together and now am wondering if my body will ever go back to normal...If so about how long?? I never had a problem with acne as a teenager and I am 21 now. Any response would be helpful thank you!!!

hun... I have news for you... Acne is something everyone will go through. I will tell ya what I am on and I have no worries really about acne... Yes it pops up every once in a while but nothing to kill my face. It is called the nuva ring. It works, I have been on it for almost a year and I love it!!! You dont have to worry about times or anything except once a month about. No worries.. Try it.. It works!!!

I would say it takes at most three months before your body goes back to normal.

This means you could miss your period for up to two months. I wouldn't worry - this has happened to my girlfriend. When you drop it altogether you can miss it for up to that long apparently.
