I have been using the patch for about a
year now. I underestimated the ammount I
had and ended up running out when I went
to put on on my change day which is
friday. I ordered more as soon as I
realize but I didn't get them until tues.
I put one on that night but friday it fell
off. I put a new one on because that was
my change day anyways and left that one on
till next friday and changed it to the
third one. My boyfriend and I used
condoms up until the thrid patch week
because it said we need a backup for the
first week. I'm a couple days late and I
was wondering if this was because of me
messing up the patches or if I am
pregnant. I was suspossed to get my
period on monday. I have cramps like I
always do but I haven't actually gotton my
period yet. Thanks for any help!

So long as you used the extra protection
from when you were supposed to change you
patch until a week after you got the new
one you should only have the same risk of
pregnancy as if you had not mixed up.
However it will probably have caused a
slight imbalance and could be making your
period late.
If it doesn't show up in the next few days
i'd contact your doctor.
I'm 99% that a home pregnancy test would
not be messed up by hormonal
contraceptives but as I say i'd see your
doctor to be sure because they could do a
blood test to check.
Good luck

Yup, it was because I messed up on the
patches and finally got my period today.
It didn't help that I kept freaking out
about it and my bf kept telling me that
would only make it worse. But i'm always
super good and careful about these things
and freak out easily if something goes
wrong. But thankd for your help!
