Hi all, I am new to the board, and we just
found out on monday that I am 4 weeks, due
december 25, lol.
It was a shock - and I am really nervous.
I had a miscarriage last august, and I am
very scared of a second one. I did have
cramps then, and I am having them now, but
they seem to be different. They are on
either side of my lower abdomen/pelvic
area, and sometimes they get kind of
sharp. They seem to be worse in the
afternoons, and when I sit. When I stand
out, I sort of feel like my tummy muscles
have been stretched and they are
achy/sore. I also get weird little sort
of pains in my belly button ... Is all
this normal? It's just so hard to not be
scared of the cramping after last time
...
Thanks!

Thanks ... I mentioned it to the nurse
yesterday, and she said it sounded normal.
They have been a little more noticeable
today, so I have been worrying more about
it.

Yeah, I was a couple of days late, and I
just felt strange - and I am never late.
I took the test to basically rule it out
... I was floored. The blood test was
731, I think ... I am just really nervous
because of the miscarriage before. Today
I am having some lower back soreness, and
the same ache in the lower corners of my
abdomen. I've heard this is normal, but
i've also heard it's not.
No, i'm not showing yet - although I feel
very bloated - and I just turned 28, why?

Pains and aches are normal during
pregnancy....They only get worse the
further along you get!! Now, if it's
anything unbearable or if there's bleeding
with it, then you should for sure go to
the doctor asap, but try not to worry over
every little cramp. It's your uterus
stretching and growing to make room for
the baby :)

I am 5 week pregnant, due dec. 29th, and
I am experiencing the same symptoms (lower
abdominal achy/pulling/pelvic
twitches/dull pain), but I am also
experiencing slight brownish spotting (2
days). I had slight spotting at 6 weeks
and 9 weeks with my first baby, but I
don't remember the other symptoms with it.
I was recently dx'd with
hypothyroidism and did get my thryroid
under control, but I can't help feeling
scared. I thought i'd feel other
symptoms like nausea and breast
tenderness, but it's very minimul compared
to my first pregnancy. I know every
pregnancy is different, but it's hard to
not feel paranoid!
