for about a year now in the mornings my
stomach will hurt really bad. Like a
sharp pain that lasts for about 5 seconds
then comes back again in about 2 to 3
minutes. Food stops the pain but it
comes back, and I end up having diaria or
however you spell it. I have been to the
doctor and they cant find anything wrong,
but they think I could have ibs. I have
taken zantac and it didnt help so now I am
some other strong medicine. Does anyone
think that this isnt ibs? Does anyone
have any suggestions on what they think I
could have.
Where exactly is the pain? Is it in your
abdomen or your stomach? Is it close to
your rib cage? It sounds like a spastic
colon to me. Unfortunately, it is
treated just like ibs. There is no
"quick fix" for ibs, it is a trial and
error situation. Sometimes taking an
anti-spasmotic with a combination of a
bulking agent, like miralax will help.
It varies from one patient to another.
