My husband has recently been diagnosed
with neuropathy. Is there a cure that
anyone knows of? Are there routine
tests??? We are pretty bummed out by
what we've found on the internet. Any
input would be greatly appreciated...

Welcome! Their are many types of
neuropathies. I am no Dr., my suggestion
is to eat properly, exercise and keep
functioning as much as possible both
physically and mentally, try not to
over-do-it, sleep is a very important
factor. Be careful of the depression
& anxiety. Do not go to just one
Dr., get other opinions. Read up on the
meds they give you, their are so many side
effects and they do not always help. I
myself am getting ready for a pain pump
with mixed meds as that will cut the side
effects and less of the brain foggyness
and I feel I will function better, even
though it is generally for the lower part
of your body, I feel that with less pain
on the lower part it will help the upper
part of my body as I will be more relaxed
and less tense in the upper part. These
are just my opinions.
Not only is the pain difficult but so is
the numbness as I fall quite a bit.
Sorry I have rambled on so much.
The best to you and yours.
Sincerely,
sandy

Thank you sandy. We've done some
research on neurontin. He is taking 100
mg/2xdaily, and it seems to be helping.
We have an appointment with a neurologist
in june. How long have you had this?
Take care
