hey gail,
sorry I didn't get back to you. I was in
the hospital for a while. They kept
stopping my labor. Anyhoo about shyanne
and the echogenic bowel. We found out
that there is a problem with her lining in
her stomach, and it is called nec. It can
be treated with vincromycin which is an
antibiotic. They have to hold her feeds
for 7 straight days and more. It is very
dangerous, and she could have died if it
wasnt caught at the beginning.. Also
there are several reasons why your u/s
would show echogenic bowel, but just to
ease your mind some.. It can be nothing
at all... I wish you and your baby well.
I'm sure everything will be normal for
you... Keep in touch and let me know how
you both are..
