I used the pill and and foam in one of my pregnancy's that I ended up mis carrying.
I had an iud in one of my other pregnancy's that ended up in the fetus' head that had to be surgically removed or aborted because it was dead and I was near dead with toxic poisoning.
Always,
sandy

All i'm saying is people should be educated more about everything.

Bd-carefull, we were using the pull out method also as I am alergic to latex and got preggers on the pill and did not want to go back on tbe shot. Depo worked very well for me though, I think cause it's so easy to take it has a better result.

Sandy-well woman, what can I say-you are just one for the books, this is not meant to be rude.

There are many new bc's out there now too though.

There are a lot of women and girls out there who have trouble with b/c pills, shots and misc., that is why it is part of my job, part of your job and others to help these people along and to help educate them that do not understand, I do not have to worry about myself but I do have clients and patients and others that I try to help educate about b/c.
Sincerely,
sandy

Yes I really think education about all options is the key here. Just from going to the pregnacy forum and teen forum here I can see people were so not educated about sex. Some of the questions here, I don;t even know whether to take seriously or not as they are so ridiculous.

Sandy on a personal note I know you have miscarried before and stuff but do u have any children? You don;t ahve to answer if you don;t want!

Peace.

Fish.....Greekmomof4 was who I was referring to in my last post.

Yes, people should be more educated about birth control and pregancy options, etc. But, even using two birth control methods can and does fail.
And there are heat of the moments when only one is used and it fails. Things happen, people aren't perfect, and they shouldn't be judged for their accidents or mistakes.

lol-i think my bf's friends think I am their mom too. I understand about lost kids as I grew up in the system here. Luckily I had my head on right and now have a great realtionship with my mom ,but so many otheres were just plain "lost". It's sad. I do a lot of volunteer work with children though. Not teens.

I work with all of them from birth and all the way thru, to death and after a while you can just see right thru them and who are good and who are bad especially with being a parent and who is telling the truth, this is why I am glad that there is a choice and I can assist people to understand the choices. There are soooo many people out there that should never be parents, they beat their kids half to death, some suffer from mal-nutrition, they have filthy, dirty clothes on, they smell from not being bathed, but mom and dad are eating steak and looking good after social services has already taken away another child from them but it is ok to have more kids, no way!
Sincerely,
sandy

Yes I do agree choice is important. I was watching 20/20 or something the other night about kids in nj who live with their grandparents cause their parents are users or just not in the pic. There was one woman who got preggers with her 6 child while her other 5 were under her family's care. I mean why?? In my opinion I think women like that should be court ordered tubes tied. She is just gonna keep bringing crack babies who have no "home" into this world. I find it weird that some women will jjust keep popping them out while others who are able to raise kids can't or won't. It's sad really.

I agree, wasnt there a program in detroit that paid mothers like that $500 dollars to get sterilized? That was a good idea.

ita.. Personally.. I'm proabortion for "crack babies" and babies that will have fas.. Only because they will have such a hard life and it's hard to find familes for the healthy babies.. .Let alone find somebody who take the challenge of raising one of them. I also don't undertand how babies like that get in the system.. I mean.. Most of the time when people adopt out.. It's because they dont believe in abortion (not all the time, some missed the deadline for abortion) yet they believe in smoking crack and drinking while pregnant? I think adopting out in those cases is more selfish then abortion unless of course the women was unable to obtain an abortion if she wanted one.

Anyway.. I also think women who suck up welfare by popping out kids like a pez dispenser should get their tubes tied.. Hell let taxpayers pay for it.. It's much cheaper in the long run and better for everyone.. I don't think you have a right to have as many kids as you want when somebody else's hard earned money and time is what's allowing you to do it.. Like I say.. You have as much freedom as you have independence... And this is coming from someone who is dependent so it's not like that belief doesnt bite me in the a$$ sometimes..Lol.

I agree that is very hypocritical of them,if they do not believe in abortion through the proper channels then why basically self abort. They should be sterilized, unless they are of course trying to get off it.Maybe I am wrong but what is the point of it all.

I think unwanted pregnancies and kids having kids is such a huge problem now that in my opinion, everyone should be atleast temporarily sterilized until they are ready to have children. I think you should have to be mentally, physically, and financially ready, and that you should be screened to make sure you aren't going to molest, beat, or neglect your kids.
Of course, that wouldn't work because then it would all be up to the government and we all know how that would end up, and it is obviously against basic human rights. But, if this is what happens when people have the freedom to breed as they wish, then maybe it shouldn't be up to them.
It is just so unfair that my tax dollars go to people who didn't keep their legs together when I did, or who didn't use protection or are just having kids because they know taxpayers money will pay for it. When at the same time, I couldn't even get financial aid because I "made too much money" but couldn't even make ends meet! But, if I had a kid, I could get free tuition, housing assistance, my utilities paid, free food, a free car, free healthcare, etc. But since I work and hold my own and choose not to have children, I can't even get help with school, but I can pay for someone who wasn't responsible enough to not have children to go to school. How f-ed up is that?

Hot... Tell me about it. I made really good money working. And I get 50% of my salary being on maternity benefits. I found out i'd get an extra 300$ a month being on welfare with a child. Which of course I can't go on because I am able to get maternity benefits.

Yeah, it is nuts! It promotes women/girls or whatever having kids. Instead of trying to eliminate it, it is like they are encouraging it. Makes me mad!

I feel like I worked for nothing. Quebec has such a f-ed up tax situation (we have 2 of the highest taxes) I feel like I get no money after it's all taken away. From clearing about 850$ after taxes and insurance every 2 weeks to getting a lil more than that per month now on maternity. Do they not understand that we have .M.O.R.E expenses with a child.

And underage girls can get welfare if they have kids so I know girls who used to get pregnant to get money. Ugh.

It is pretty much the same here as I said before, free housing, free utilities, free food and they eat better than most of us, I sure do not like to get behind someone in a line on the food card @ the grocery store, they have steaks, prime rib, cookies, ice cream, all the expensive stuff that we cannot afford, heck, I would be embarrased, and they act so proud, plus they get a check every month, the more kids, more money, it is really sad, something needs to be done, I love to see them cut off when they break the rules and get caught.
Sincerely,
sandy.

This is why that their are some females that you can try and educate on safe sex until you are blue in the face and they will not listen, they want that free and easy life like one of their friends have, get pregnant , don't have to work, party, get a free apt., free money, free food, etc, and I believe it will get worse until something gets done, because when I started working @ 12 1/2 we did not have it, we worked, sick or not and helped others.
Sincerely,
sandy

It was like that over here for years,if you wanted a house get pregnant if you want money get pregnant, and most of the kids were being brought up by grandparents, finally things are starting to change, more education and less benefits, more emphasis on family helping. This has caused this to slow down,no housing,no special benefits so then it isn't worth it,also changing the welfare benefit structure to help single parents off benefits and into work, with penalties if they believe that they are not doing enough to help themselves, this has changed how some people look at life. There are even laws now protecting parents and forcing employers to provide creche facilitys and even top ups off the goverment for childcare,so a lot less think that getting pregnant is going to give them an easy ride.It is hard to balance the genuine need for help and the need to dissuade people of the idea that it will all be easy from then on.
