Last summer I was diagnosed with pelvic
congestion syndrome (it's like having
varicose veins in your uterus). For
several months I had continuous pain in my
lower right side, kind of like the side
ache you get after you have been running,
but laying down for awhile seemed to help
alleviate the pain. I had vein
embolization procedure performed in
december, which did seem to help some.
Now the pain is back with a vengence.
I'm not so sure it is the same problem,
since laying down does not help and the
pain on my right side seems to be from
just below my hip bone to my upper right
side. I had a colonoscopy last
wednesday, which came back with some
polyps but nothing that should be causing
this pain. My ob/gyn says I need to have
a partial hysterecomy and that will solve
the problem. I do trust my doctor, but
before I go through that, I want to make
sure I have eliminated anything else it
could be. It is really disrupting my
life! Anyone else going through anything
like this?
