Catching Mono From Sneezing? Posted: 05-10-05 10:49am
I'm hoping for some help here. A friend
of mine told me that her doctor informed
her that she is a carrier of mono, and
therefore needs to stay away from kids and
elderly because it can be passed through
sneezing, breathing, etc.
In all my years of working with kids I
had never heard of this, always was told
that mono was passed solely though bodily
fluids...The kissing disease!
So, who is right? I think she needs to
find a new doctor, if that is what he is
telling her!

Sneezing does release a fluid!
Breathing can have droplets, but i'd think
the likelihood of catching mono that way
is very, very low on the scale.
