Im 16 and im sexually active. I have
been on the pill for almost a year,
because my periods were very irregular.
If sexually active, I always backup the
birth control with a condom. I am due to
get my period on the 17th. However on
the 8th I noticed that I had some blood
(not in my panties, but only when I
wiped...Sorry I was trying to put it
nicely) my doctor told me that it was
breakthrough bleeding, since I had taken
two of my pills late. The bleeding only
lasted a day and was very light. It was
a light red but then turned brown and
stopped right after. I dont know
why...But I am very concerned that somehow
I am pregnant,since the bleeding really
scared me. Could I be pregnant or is it
just breakthrough bleeding or am I just
over reacting???? Help please

Since the doctor said you may have
breakthrough bleeding it could very well
be that.
Have you missed your period?
