Lymphatic Tb Will the Lump Go Down Soon? Posted: 05-13-05 08:52am
Hi,
can someone tell me whether the lump which
appears with lympathic tb will go down
eventually? I was told it will get bigger
as I take medication. Which I am doing
now, but am wondering whether it will
reduce completely in the future.
Cant believe I have tb, but seem to be
doing ok on these drugs so far! Fingers
crossed.

I also had tb in my lymph nodes. 3
months after giving birth, I noticed a
lump on my left side of the neck. It
started out with just pain on my neck,
then the next day, there was a big lump on
it. I waited 2 weeks for it to
disappear. Nothing happened, so I went
to see an ent. He then recommended a
biopsy and a ct scan. Then later
referred me to a infectious doctor. I
was on drugs for like 8 months. It is
crazy especially the first 2 months. I
was taking 10 pills everyday m-f.
The lump that I had on my neck was huge.
It used to be hard. After a few months
on meds, it became kind of liquidy inside
like water. When it was getting smaller
it popped and liquid came out. This
happened during the summer '05. Now it
looks like a hole in my skin with some
white stuff (probably pus) in it. It is
taking a long time for it to heal. The
ent said to just clean out with
hydroperoxide and neospirin and cover it
up with band aid.
I had a ct scan done on my neck because of
the lump. And it showed some enlarged
lymph nodes that goes down to my lungs.
So my doctor ordered a ct scan of my lungs
and it showed that I had scar tissues on
my lung. At some point I had tb in my
lungs I guess but I never knew about it
and so it spread to my lymph nodes. In a
way, it's good that I had this lump. It
was my warning sign to see a doctor.
