First of all, how regular are her menstrual pattern?

Yes, it is always possible for her to be pregnant if sperm enters the vagina. Right after menses is a bit less likely, both because typically (bot not always) ovulation is still some days off.

Note that sperm typically live around 5 days, and as such, pregnancy is more likely from 5 days before ovulation.

But you can't really be sure until you wait a couple of weeks and then have a pregnancy test.

I was woundering what do you think the chances of me getting pregnant 2 days before my period... We used a condom and I as far as I know it didn't break.. I know I am pregnant.. Ok let me tell you my story.. I had my last period on dec. 19 and I had protected sex on the 17.. I had sex on the 19 and 20 with out a condom.. I didnt' have sex again until the 31, 1, 2.. We didn't use a condom and my bf came in me every time and I think thats when I was ovulating... All my measurements match up to my period so the Dr. Hasn't changed my due date or nothing like that but i'm just scared that maybe I did get pregnant 2 days before my period b/c it was with my ex b/f and I am afraid that there is a chance the baby his and not my b/f... I had an ultra sound on the 28th of april and my baby measured at 19.4 weeks... My Dr. Told me I most likley concieved on the 31st and the ultra sound tech said I could have concieved any where from dec. 25 to jan 3rd. So that makes me feel alot better but I always seem to think the worst... Plus I know they add 2 weeks to your pregnancy so if I did concieve on dec. 17 wouldn't the baby have measured at 21 or 22 weeks.... What is your opnion.. I'm really scared that if this baby is not my b/f it would break both are hearts so much.... We had been broken up for about 6 months and I ended up sleeping with my ex and what do you know 2 days later we happen to make up (which i'm very thankfull for) any advise will help... Thank you

Most likely 2 days before your period you are in your luteal phase which is the time after you ovulate. So you probably didn't get pregnant then. Plus if you had gotten pregnant you wouldn't have had a period. Around dec 31st sounds like the time you would have gotten pregnant because it was approx. 2 weeks after your period which is when most women are in their most fertile period of time. I wouldn't worry about this so much the chances of you getting pregnant by your ex is very slim especially since you used protection with him and not with your boyfriend. Try not to stress yourself on this though, its not good for the baby. If both your technician and the doctor said you prob got preg around dec. 31st just go with that and don't keep questioning it. It is very slim for you to have gotten pregnant and then have a period. Plus doctors usually know what they are talking about.

thank you for the advise I know I try not to stress about it.. I feel in my heart that it is my b/f.. I just always seem to think of the impossible.. Plus my b/f and I are getting so excited now about the baby.. I just don't want my whole life to crash down on me so I just want to get advise from people who I know will tell me what they truley feel being that they dont' know me..
