Lump Underarm And Upper Thigh Posted: 05-17-05 00:18am
I have a large lump under my armpit that
hurts a lot. I have had similar ones
before and they (seemed to) turn out to be
pimples since they either went down or
(more recently) popped. I have a similar
lump on my upper thigh that hurts a lot.
I thought it was just a pimple too so I
tried to squeeze it but it just hurts more
now. Ive been doing tons of research
online but am just worrying myself crazy
b/c all I keep seeing is "cancer"
"lymphoma", etc. I am eventually going to
the doctor, obviously, but im away at
school right now and am trying to see if
it will just go away...
Does anyone think they might know what
this is?

I went 2 the doctors yesterday and had it
checked out was very worried because I had
a lump removed from my breast 3 years ago
and it felt the same just a bit smaller
and im only 18! Its seems that I have an
infection from shaving n cut myself then
used deodorant made it infected I cut
myself 4 weeks ago n its only started
hurting last week dont stress too much
just get it checked out good luck

Yes, get it checked. I had one a couple
of yrs ago...The dr took a sample of the
pus to found out what kind of an infection
I had and then put me on antibiotics...No
problems.

Hello my name is rosa.My fiance just had
one (well some).They are ingrown hairs.He
had one on his neck and one on his thigh
and a couple on his ancle.At first we
thought they where mosquito bites.But days
went by and they began to bother him they
where hurting bad.They where hard around
it and it was red aroung the lump he
popped the one on his thigh and puss came
out he messed with it and a large thing pf
puss came out that left him a small hole
on his leg(the puss was the head of the
lump).We got scared so he went to the
hospital they told him that they where
boils.And that they are ingrown hair that
they mostly come out on underarms and
places where you mostly shave.They gave
him some antibiotics.He went back the next
day cause he could not take the pain so
they opened them and cleaned all the
inside.It left him a hole on all of then
and they told him that they would close by
their own but as long as they where opened
he had to clean the inside with a
q-tip.But you dont have to go to the
doctor you can soak them with a hot rag
and clean them evryday.
You can also buy a medecine over the
counter its call boil ease (or something
like that) and bacitracin.This medicine
will help for them to pop and when they do
you got t aqueez it.

Yeah it sounds like boils to me too.
Hot tea bags pull it out. Feels like it
is pulling as soon as you put it on.
Cool though, it works. I had one on my
mound one time, talk about hurt!!
