Sorry your surgery did not solve your
problems. I had my gb out 3 months ago
& feel great. My surgeon did explain
that some have the pain return. If it
does, it's could be sphincter of oddi
dysfunction or sod for short. This
dysfunction causes biliary pain, which
mimics gallstone/gallbladder disease.
There are several web sites out there that
will explain this dysfunction. It can be
corrected by doing a surgical procedure
via upper endoscope. Really surprised
your surgeon never mentioned this as a
possibility.

I had my gallbladder out a few months ago,
and I still have pain sometimes, its not
really bad, but each time it comes back it
gets worser, my doctor said some people
get this problem, and if you have it, he
told me its ether bile leaking from where
the gallbladder was unattached, the bile
duct could have been nicked and causing
your leakage.
Or the other cause is a stone still
trapped in the bile
ducts............................
Both of these require surgery to
fix.........
Talk to your doctor/surgen, if he don't
help
find another surgen, these problems are
serious, and require medical attention.

Gall Bladder/swollen Tummy Posted: 07-07-05 10:32am
I just had gall bladder surgery a little
over a week ago, and i'm feeling pretty
well with one exception. My stomach is
soooo swollen. I look like i'm about 7
months pregnant. I thought this would be
a "simple" surgery, and I don't understand
why my stomach is so huge.
Anyone have this problem? I'd love to
hear that i'm not alone!

 I am sorry that you are still
feeling pain after gallbladder surgery.
I had surgery back in april and I feel
fantastic no pain whatsoever. If you
pain continues I suggest that you got your
surgeon to see what is going on.

Hello gall bladder/swollen tummy,
what your having is common after
laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. They
fill your stomach with air, so they can
visualize your internal organs. Even
though they try to get most of it out
after surgery...They can't get it all. It
takes awhile to work out.

Gall Bladder Attacks With No Gall Bladder!! Posted: 05-25-06 08:16am
Hello,
im 18 years old and I had my gallbladder
out 3/4 months ago. Since then ive healed
up nicely and have had no problem apart
from being bloated quite a lot I can eat
what I want. Until last night I had a
pizza and I had a mild intergestion which
was fine nothing serious and then this
morning I woke up and my whole stomach was
aching I thought it may have been due to
the pizza last night and I slept on my
front for some reason. Anyway carried on
as normla went to work had slight ache,
where I used to get the pain by where my
gall bladder was. Then I started getting
the pains again but aftr 12-15
dissappeared but slightly still there.
Then I decided to ahve some lunch and as
soon as I did it come back with vengence I
was in pain and wanted to be sick. So it
made me sicks about 3 times and then the
pain slowly returned and my muscle in my
stomach or where they are all relaxed and
was ok.
Does anyone know what this is all about???

I know exactly what you are going through.
I had my gallbladder out 3 years ago and
have the symptoms just as much now as
before surgery. I have had 4 ercps since
my gallbladder removal this is to remove
stones that are forming in the common bile
duct. Don't ask why, that is what I am
trying to figure out and the doctors just
keep sending me to have them removed but
give me no answers on why. Maybe you
could get checked for stones in the common
bile duct. The symptoms and pain is
exactly what it was before surgery.
