Anxiety And Your Profession

Hi all anxiety sufferers as I am one too, I was wondering what kinds of professions you all have. Just state it here in the forum and dont be afraid what profession or job you have no matter how big or small or whether you have one or not. Even state if you are a student and what job you have and what you are studying or if you are just not in school anymore. This is just out of curiosity. I want to know the range of people that anxiety affects. This could be interesting for all. Thanks. And dont be afraid! :) I have now been accepted into med school at yale university! Wow! But I am slowly overcomming anxiety and feel that I can really beat it! I believe that you can too! I know it is hard work and takes a lot of will power!!! Sometimes I even wonder whether I am good enough to take on this career and I get really nervous feelings just thinking about it...But really that is my anxiety trying to stop me from getting ahead in life. There is nothing to be afraid of and I know I can do it! And you can too!! Please post...

I would be interested in communicating with you. I would like to know why you think you are near a solution for your attacks.

I have a site about a conflict of physiology related to the vision startle reflex.

Designers and engineers discovered the problem when knowledge workers using the first production models of close-spaced office workstations began having mental breaks. The cubicle became the solution for the office design problem.

So few people are aware of this that there is almost no research on it.

Schools and students are unaware of the need for cubicle level protection when you place a study area or computer workstation in a room with repeating detectable movement.

I think that persistent exposure, which is far too low to cause a full mental break, is the source of panic attacks.

One reason is that I once had panic attacks. I did not understand them back then. They stopped and I did not know why.

When I began writing the panic attacks page for my site I remembered them and what I did to stop them.

I moved my computer workstation from the center of a room where it was a room divider to the corner of the same room.

Visit my site http://visionandpsychosis.Net then link to the panic attacks page. If this information helps you I would like to hear from you.

1) 22
2) female
3) student at local college studying dental hygiene although many times I am nervous about whether I can make it through. The uncertainty about the future is what makes me nervous and anxious. Is this what I really want to do? Do I really like it? And if not, what will I do?!?!?!?!?!.....So worried...So much pressure from everyone....In the meantime I work part time as a telephone service representative at a call centre. Nothing big. Just worried about future and my looks. Thats what gives me high anxiety in my life! Sometimes I have trouble getting out of bed and have upset stomachs in the morning....So worried.....We need more replies to this topic!... Its interesting!...Let us know who you are!...Please take a minute to post....Lets get to know each other!

I am a 29 yeear old male technology consultant, my job is pretty stressful as well as other things going on in my life... I think non-stop like running an obstacle race.

I think my anxiety is due to a tramatic break down I had due to stress.
I started to have heart palpitations 4 months ago, eventually they got so bad I thought I was dying...
Several heart tests and a few days later I started getting symptoms of anxiety, weak, dizzy, feeling out of it, poor concentration, no strength in my hands, light sensitivity. I blame all of this on being scared that I was going to die from my heart palpitations.

I have been seeing a couselor and am working on simplifying my life and relaxing. I was doing really good and feeling a lot better up until a week ago, my anxiety is at an all time high in the fear category and im starting all over again. I hate anxiety!!!!!!!!!

I am a psychotherapist and before I started on my career I suffered from mental illness, depression and anxiety attacks. I was for many years a drug addict.

I studied psychology, initially trying to understand myself, and when I discovered that mainstream medicine and psychology really did not know the causes of depression - plenty of theories but no cures - I went on my own course of discovery finding a cure.

It turns out that depression and anxiety (they are caused by the same underlying biochemical disorder) is in fact a nutritional disorder.

Once you understand the biochemistry of depression, you will discover the non-drug cure. Drug therapy and/or psychotherapy are palliative, meaning they attempt to treat symptoms only but not the underlying causes of depression.

Hi smithoo7,

anxiety attacks are not influenced by age, sex, etc.

It can hit anybody who overproduces adrenaline because of insulin resistance. It is physical not psychological.
