i actually like this parental notification law because it allows an exception for children who are in danger of abuse from their parents and girls that can prove that they are mature enough for an abortion without consent.

I think the late-term law is wonderful!!

Really because if I read it correctly late-terms are not done for fetal health anymore unless it's severe brain damage. They are only done when the mother's life (not mental health) is at stake so by saying that the bill is moot you are mistaken.

the bill states that unless the woman's life is at risk or the fetus has brain damage. Which, from my research, are the reasons many abortions are done after 26 weeks gestation. So yes, the bill in putting into law something that is already being done (for the most part). So yes, it is just a way to make fundies happy even though nothing really is changing.

"many" abortions but not all. It will cut back on senseless late term abortions and techinically the law is not already being done...And by you saying "for the most part" proves that the law really isn't into effect... Laws should not be done half-as*ed they should be fully recognized and now it will be.....

I did not say that women were lining up to have late term abortions just because they didn't want to be pregnant but there are some that do...Why is it that anytime somone posts you flip it around and use your own interpretations? I'd like you to show me where I said they were just lining up for abortions...That's right...You can't. What is ignorant is when people think they are done for "medical" reasons only after 26wks...

If kids aren't old enough or mature enough to have an abortion, then how are they old enough to raise a kid? That takes alot more work and skill then lying on a metal table in stirrups.

steen, there are those that will believe anything the plm throws them. Women aborting after 26 weeks don't do it for fun. There is something wrong. Far be it from me to expect politicians not to play doctor.

and you know that they only do it *for medical reasons* and that is 100% factual right? Time to practice what you preach and don't believe everything you hear. Can I have proof of this please?

Noone aborts for *fun* and if they do then are a really twisted person. I don't think anyone get's joy out of abortion.

Telling me to get over myself was quiet funny. You sound like an 8th grader. Bet you'll run and tell on me next huh?

Actually you are implying that she has problems now...Which may or may not be true. Yes they keep premies in the hospital to be sure that they can breath/eat etc...On their own but they do not all go home with problems!

yeah, i'm sure she has no medical problems.

by putting it in that contex you are saying that she now has medical problems...Did you not get that? The only one that looks foolish here is you....You didn't say "yeah, i'm sure she .H.A.D no medical problems" I didn't assume anything. You should think before you write.

***.Y.A.W.N***

could you be .A.N.Y.M.O.R.E boring?

And, you're right. I don't believe you when you say there is nothing wrong with her. A fetus at 22 weeks gestation is not ready for life outside the womb.

if I am so boring then why do you keep responding? I didn't say that she had anything wrong with her. I said she may or may not...Once again you twist things to fit your screwed up view...... I guess i'm boring because i'm right and you just can't accept that.

You are far too stupid to be here. I've had the same user name since day 1 person...I get it though...You don't have an argument so you accuse people of stupid sh*t so that you don't have to actually debate? Couldn't you find something more creative? The whole *multiple user names agrument* is way overplayed.....

It's obvious that you did not come here to debate. You came here to start fights and act like a child. Grow up and then try to debate with people.

Go back and re-read many of your posts and you want to call me out for name calling? If you go back and read you will see why all of this got started...Because of poor little you but yet you can't take it when someone says something back...You have to run crying to admin because poor little you..Nice try though I must admit...Keep going if you want too. It only gets funnier and funnier everytime you try to pull me on something that you seem to do on a constant basis...Umm..What's the word for that --- hypocrit.

It's cute how you try to accuse me of everything that you do. Just because you are a whiney child doesn't mean that everyone else is...But you are good for laugh..

pc I dont mean to be rude but are you an ob? Or a n.I.C.U. Nurse? If you are I would be more that happy to agree with you that a baby born before 37 weeks gestation, is doomed to have a horrible sickly life!!!! But if not how would you know? Through things you have been told or things you have read on the internet?

There was some study published recently that something like 75% of very premature babies who survived had a serious medical issue, eg brain damage or whatever.

My uncle adopted a baby that was incredibly premature, looked like a skinned rat when it was born. Actually turned out perfectly healthy in the end. Except he also became a semi-psychotic drug addict, but you can't have everything.
