Fluid On Lung Posted: 05-19-05 22:32pm
For almost two years I havw had to have
fluid drained from my right lung. In the
last month it was a total of 3 liters.
The amount and frequency is increasing.
Although they have tested the fluid
several times, and did an explooratory
once, the best they can tell me is that
there is a suspicion that
that I have mesothelioma (i am not sure of
the spelling). I do not believe that is
what I have. I suspect that it might have
to do with my alergies, but I do not know
who I can ask about this. Can anyome here
help me. === I live in the state of
missouri.

I can identify with your problem. I have
been having fluid around my lungs for a
number of years, it usually affect my
heart. I asked for a second opinion,
and after an ultra sound and some research
by my doctor found out my lungs are not
the normal size and seems to be getting
smaller. This is a result of lupus.

Fluid In Lung Posted: 03-16-06 04:41am
i also have fluid in (not around) lung
and have for over a year. Xrays were
neg and my gp says it is caused by reflux.
However I never regurgitate so it seems
highly unlikely. Being an ex smoker I
fear the worst. It is also reducing my
capacity for air and is slowing my
running. Is there any test (other than
xray) such as scope to check out lung from
inside? If so I would like to insist on
it but have no idea if there is such a
test. Thanks in advance.
