dear all,
i am very worry on someone did add some
semen on my glass of beer, will I get
infected hiv from this way?
I guess the semen is come from a used
condom(at least 30 mins ago)!
Why I worry because during that time, I
have serious coughing due to flu, I am
very not sure do I have any sore or broken
tissue in throat and food pipe due to that
serious coughing!!!!
As well as 2 weeks after that incident, I
have sore throat, dispherra and tired even
have enough sleep!!!! That make me worry
a lot!!!
I have been done a abbott hiv ag + ab
combo test at 9 days after that
incident!!! I don't know is it a good
sign or not!!!
Looking for help, I worried to hell!

Well, from what I can gather in your
rather odd scenario (who on earth put
semen in your beer?), I would say that
chances of becoming infected are pretty
much zero. This is why -
- you say that it was half an hour old.
Hiv would not survive this long and in
fact, only survives at most just a few
minutes outside the body. You can rest
assured that if there was virus in the
semen, it was dead. When it's dead,
there's no chance of infection.
- swallowing semen is not as dangerous as
it might seem, since the stomach acids
destroy the virus immediately. The risk
is when the semen is fresh (as in just
'emerged') and can be absorbed through the
mouth, in a small cut perhaps. This has
happened. However, please read the first
statement again. After half an hour, the
hiv will be dead.
- the chances are excellent that the semen
was not infected. But considering that
this is not a dangerous scenario, this is
irrelevant.
Don't worry.
P.S. I remember it happened in american
pie, and did you see him worrying about
anything else except how gross it was?

No, from a medical point of view, I would
say that you do not need to test.
However, it might be a good idea to test
after three months so that you can relax
and be happy again. It will be negative.

Today my sore throat is getting worst and
running a bit fever too!!!!
This is very scare me alot!!!!

Everyone gets sore throats. They are
nothing to worry about. Since your
scenario carries no risk (the hiv would be
dead!), your sore throat is totally
normal. Have a strepsil sweet and don't
keep posting. As far as i'm concerned,
you do not have a problem with hiv. You
have a problem with fear of hiv.

in use. Once it is taken off, the semen
is exposed. Now, please stop asking
questions. I will say only one more time
- you are at no risk because if there was
hiv present, it would be totally dead
after half an hour. Especially if you put
it in beer. Why on earth did someone do
that?

pranks, but never even thought about semen
in beer. How in the world could
someone...Rather...Why in the world would
someone want to mess up a good beer?

And beer has alcohol in it so you should
not worry at all and plus the air would
kill it, and having semen through the
mouth is a low risk I would put money on
this that you alright I know you are
