If you are speaking about an actual banjo
string like on the stringed instrument.
Yes, clip it and then remove the string
from the neck and bridge and then replace
it with the same size and tune.
Since you don't know if you can clip it or
not, take it to a professonial and have it
done correctly.
Take that as advice for both stringed
instruments and if this is a serious
medical question then go to the doctors to
see what needs to be done. Don't do
surgery on yourself!!!!!
