Q: Pregnancy Possibility Question

I hope I am welcome here (i am a man). I have a serious question. My wife has been off of birth control (oral) for several months now. We have been using spermicide (foam type) and condoms. Her last period started on april 19 or 20th. We had sex on the 25th. During the act, we did use the spermicide but not the condom (yes, I know it was stupid). I also withdrew at the last minute. It kind of "came fast"! Anyway, as my wife didn't "finish" yet, I cleaned up and re-inserted. We did add another application of the foam spermicide, however. Well, she has not had her period yet (as of may 20th) and I am afraid she may be pregnant. Her cycle is not always a set number of days but she is still past due. Can anyone tell me the chances of her being pregnant? Thank you very much.

It depends on how much you came, how well you cleaned yourself and how well you applied the spermacide. There is a chance that she could be pregnant but the chances are slim, becasue of the spermacide. I would suggest you get a few of the morning after pills for when something like this happens and then you dont have to worrie. Ask your wife to take a test to ease your mind.

You are always welcome here! I have known a lot of women to get pregnant on the foam, nothing is 100% but I feel something is better than nothing, stuff happens. If she is stressing then that can push back her period. Keep us posted on what you find out.
Good luck!
Sincerely,
sandy

Thanks for the replies. I did buy a test (e.P.T) but she wants to wait a few more days before she uses it. I think she is just as afraid as I am. After this, I am going to look into getting a vasectomy. The stress is killing us! We already have three children and we are finished. We are fast approaching 40 and are getting ready to slwo down some. I hope the spermicide did the trick.
