heart pains followed by sharp head pains Posted: 02-10-08 23:34pm
Hello, i have been experiencing some
discomfort in my head. At first i was
experiencing a burning and tingling
sensenation and my head that has now
turned into sharp pain starting about 4
days ago. Before the head pains i was
experiencing some heart problems and when
i went into the ER for my first visit on
1-3-08 and since that date a total of 3x's
now i was told that i was experiencing
heart papalations and anxiety. I have
never had these problems before. I have
had 3 EKG, an MRI on my neck, blood work,
an ECG, and an heart monitor that i just
took off and is now awaiting the results.
I am very scared i am only 24 and i have
never experienced these symptoms before. I
have an appointment for an MRI on my head
tomorrow should i be worried.

Brain Pain Posted: 02-15-08 19:46pm
Hi all, first i'd like to say how releaved
i am to hear that I am not alone. I too am
experience quick, sharp pains in the head
that only last seconds. They occur right
above my left ear and can occur a few
times a day or several. I have been
experiencing alot of anxiety lately and
thought i was going to have a heart attack
or stroke!! its been driving me nuts and
scares the heck out of me. The anxiety has
been the past few weeks with chest pains
and then my heart starts to race (i think
only because its scares me). Since then,
the anxiety seems to be gone but i am now
experiencing those brain pains! I feel
like i am turning into a hypocondriac
(sp?). I wish more doctors would reply to
us and give us some sort of insight as to
whether we should be worried about this or
chalk it up to stress....which i probably
have been coz i've recently moved and
started a new job. I am turning 33 this
October, am still on the pill and smoke
(not heavy, a pack (25) can last me 5
days) which i plan on kicking both REALLY
soon. I do exercise 5-6 times a week and
am in good shape, no 6 pack but not fat by
any means. Should we be concerned about
all these pains or are we over reacting???

I also get this kind of pain it just flys
in and just as fast as it comes it flys
away again. I could be doing something so
normal, and then I will get it, I feel
like I'm being stabbed in the head, I
sometimes scream cause it hurts so much,
and it's also so unexpected. It's scary,
people look at me, and just say are u
ok..... LOL. I'm young women healthy, 22
yrs old, no known health problems, but
when it comes to my head I always think I
have some serious problems, but have yet
to get anything confirmed and/or resolved.
I will mention it to my doctor as soon as
i can. I'm always afraid that I might end
up like Buffy's mom on the couch, for any
of you that have watched Buffy the Vampire
Slayer.

we need to get pure air in our lungs and sinuses Posted: 02-27-08 04:29am
with fresh air the symtoms i have
subside, problem is when returing to the
big smoke city the air is not so
pure,oxygen therapy could assist these
tension head aches i feel...also try chi
breathing in the park or mountains early
morning or at dusk when air quality is
cleanest.go for a brisk walk time to time
also can help this problem... and plenty
of water rich foods-not too cooked vegies
and rabbit meat and peking duck is great

I have the same problem Posted: 03-05-08 18:31pm
I've been having these pains for a long
time, I'm very relived that I'm not the
only one. I just had one about 5 minutes
ago. For me they last from 10 seconds to a
minute and a half. I get them every
morning a few minutes after I wake up, and
sometimes I get them in the evening. They
seem to come and go. I'll have a lot in
two weeks then only one in another two
weeks. It's pretty weird. I'm only 15, so
it's pretty creepy for me. I've been
having them since I was about 13 and a
half(Less often then though). My ear still
hurts from my last one. My mom says it's a
sinus pain, but that couldn't be it. And
this last one I just had actually hurt my
throat. It's never hurt my throat before.
They usually start at my temple and spread
to behind my ear and eye and now my
throat. It hurts. I hope someone can
figure it out.

my head. Every 5 minutes i get a stabbing
pain that lasts or less than a second.
I've been wandering whats going on with
this issue. This pain really feels like a
broken finger. is this serious or what?

Re: Worst Head Pain In the World By daniela12180 Posted: 05-19-08 06:57am
Hello Daniela,
I was in a car accident many years ago
that also affected my back and upper
shoulder. While going through therapy, I
also began getting these headaches
frequently. I told my Chiropractor and
what he did while receiving my regular
therapy session amazed me. He laid me on
the massage table (on my back) with my
neck hanging off the table just a little
(the chiroprator was also standing above
me with my head in his hand). Suddenly he
cracked my neck . Of course I was
shocked. I asked him why did he do that?
He told me, that there is a disc between
my neck and shoulder and sometimes it
shifts out of place. When it shifts, it
tend to rub against nerves causing various
types of headaches. Trust me, it worked. 5
minutes after he did that, headache was
gone. Never came back. Every now and then
when I begin to get headaches that do not
go away, I call up the chiropractor or
even a licensed massage therapist (they
tend to do that as well) and let them go
to work on me. Sure makes me feel like a
new person. I hope all is well.

Severe Pains in head!! Posted: 08-15-08 17:16pm
I am 28 years old. Since I was about 9 I
have had severe headaches and migraines.
Not to mention Seizures. I have been to
all the doctors around and they have yet
to figure out why i have these problems.
I've had everything (cat scans, mri,
sleep study, ekg you name it ive done it)
Therefore they havent put me on any meds
because the problems are still
undiagnosed. I go everyday with a headache
sometime the pain is mild, and some days i
cant get outta bed. I live on Advil.
Probably take a bottle a week which is
horrible on my liver. I am concerned about
my problem but more importantly i have 2
daughters. 1 is 9 and the baby is 3. My 9
year old is already experiencing these
severe headaches as well as me. I don't
want her to live in the same pain as I do.
I don't have insurance for myself or my
girls so any advise that i can read up on
is helpful to me. I have learned that most
doctors want your money and could care
less if you are healed... Thanks for
reading my story, and i hope someone can
help....

Hi all, I have been doing my rounds here
trying to find out what my little issue is
caused by but I hope I can help you as
well.
Anyway, it all started with Low Potassium
about a year and a half ago (hospital
visit for heart palpatations, and
breathing difficulty). After the Doctors
got it up to about 3.7 they turned me
loose.... shortly after, I started to get
a stab or vascular spasm pain slightly
above and behind my right ear. It would
just hit a couple of times and go away for
a few days, It was intense and made me
gasp and breath in when it happened...
then it got worse, every other day, then
every day, then multiple times a day. I
quit smoking, caffeine, etc.and it only
got worse and started to "crawl" further
up my head towards my forehead.
Pepsi helped (can't say that coffee did)
when i went back on the Pepsi but I found
the cause (not the root cause which I
believe is Kidney related somehow) and
that was Milk (that includes cheese,
creamed corn, mashed potatoes, etc,
anything with milk in it.)
After being off milk, It went away. It
comes back sometimes when I forget to
order without cheese and things like that
sometimes but at least I know what was
primarily causing it.
My main problem that I believe is related
to the root cause of these headaches is a
Kidney malfunction.
I am peeing out way to much potassium and
have slightly high-normal aldosterone and
undetectable Renin according to the
bloodtests so far. This all started right
after the first potassium drop.... BTW, I
am 40 and never had any issue with milk,
never had a headache before (except a
tension headache in the back of my neck
when I drove 20 hours once and an
occasional sinus headache in my face) and
drank & ate tons of milk products all
my life.
Hope this helps and it turns out to be a
mid-life strange milk allergy as mine
appears to be.

Sharp pain in side of head Posted: 09-21-08 07:09am
I woke this morning with an ice pick pain
2 inches above my left ear and worried
that I was having a brain bleed or tumor.
I took 2 aspirin and laid back down and it
subsided. I googled it and found all of
these other people that had the same exact
symptoms.
Could it be our cell phones causing this
internal pain????

they heck they were. I've been getting
them quite a bit lately, so I'm planning
on a trip to the dr.

stabbing head pain Posted: 10-27-08 13:50pm
Hi,
My daughter suffered with stabbing pains
in her head for almost a year. We went to
several doctors who could find nothing.
Finally, we went to a chiropractor who
x-rayed her spine and found that her head
was sitting crooked on her spine. After
just 2 adjustments, she was cured!!
