Bladder Infection? This Is Kind of Weird. Posted: 05-22-05 00:53am
Okay so I know all about bladder
infections and ive gone into the doctors
and have gotten pills for it.(though I
dont have the pills anymore and havnt gone
in again) and I know a cause for it can be
sex. Well I have been noticing lately
that im getting a bladder infection a
little less then a week before I start my
period, and it only lasts about a day, but
oh that one day is painful and its
annoying by having to pee so often and
then barely any comes out, and often I
find a slight light color of blood. Does
this have to do with maybe ovulating or
something and maybe having sex at that
time causes this infection? Just seems to
be a little weird to be just a coisendence
on it happening the same time every month.
Any tips would be helpful thanks! :)

Sorry, don't have an answer for you but
the same exact thing happens to me too
every month. I didn't notice the blood
until this last month but I wasn't looking
for it. This month it lasted for longer
than a day, it happened two days before I
started the nuvaring and then once or
twice for the next week. I ended up
stopping the ring because I was feeling
sick and getting migraines one week later.
The burning started up again and just
finally I feel normal again today, one
week after taking out the ring.
I know this didn't answer your question
but at least now we both know we're not
the only one that experiences this.

Heres some ways that you may be able to
help or prevent a bladder infection from
happening. Sex doesn't have to cause it
heres a pointer for that.
After you have sex make sure you pee
because this can give you a urinary tract
infection as well.
Cut caffine out of your diet, when I say
caffine I mean soda.
Drink plenty of water and try drinking a
glass of cranberry juice a day if you
dont' like cranberry juice there are over
the counter pills that do the same thing
as cranberry juice.
Try these things and if your bladder
infections continue go back to the doctor.
