i was involved in a auto accident about 3
months ago. Since then I have had sharp
needle like sensations that come and go
all over my body. Most of the time it
happens in my arms, legs but can occur
over my back, stomach, neck and even up
into my face. I have had a cat of my head
which showed negative and x-rays of my
back which were also negative. The doctor
I have been seeing (an orthopedic surgeon)
will not refer me to a neuro surgeon. He
dosn't seem to be concerned about my
symptom's what can be causing this?

I am really sorry no one is offering you
any help. Dont give up, if you were in an
accident, and never had these problems
there is something wrong , try to find a
different doctor maybe an mri will show up
something, x rays dont really show
anything but a broken bone, sounds like
you may have some nerve damage, dont let
people tell you its all in your head, its
not, I know because I too was in an auto
accident and have been experiencing many
different medical problems because of
nerve damage, beleive me having nerve
damage can cause so many problems and
cause alot of pain.

Hi out there I am writing this because the
above post mentioned nerve pain. Here is
the deal ..I think I have a pinched nerve
in my pack - I have sciatic pain and it
feels like I hit my funny bone only it is
in my left leg and back. Latest
developement is that I am walking funny -
like when your foot falls asleep and try
to walk anyway. I have been to 2 drs and
emergency . they
have all ignored me. The last dr -
orthopedist was supposed to request tests
from my general. It has been a week and
it has not happened. My general (
actually the receptionist) told me she
would stop going to the ortho and thouoght
the tests I described him wanting were way
out of line. I got a referal ( 3rd time
for same Dr. - guess he is good) but he
cannot see me for 17 days. What do I do
in the meantime? I am in pain - how is
it that these people cannot get that.
Further I am wondering if my symptoms are
an emergency ( I started developing this
trouble 2 months ago and it is getting
worse and worse - and at the same time no
drs are helping me. What should I do at
least to wait it out until the 17th .
