Anyone Heard of Hoodia Gordonii Diet Pills?! Posted: 05-24-05 06:12am
Ive just brought some, havent taken them
yet.
Apparently they are a tribal remody.
Tribesmen used to take it before they went
hunting to supress their hunger on long
hunting trips.
Has anyone tried them? Do you know if
they are effective or if they have any
side effects?

Yes, I read about hoodia in a natural
healing newsletter by Dr. Andrew weil.
He says hoodia is just another fad, no
proven benefits. Worse than that, the
plant is now endangered because it's been
overharvested for pills. So save your
money & buy something that is proven
to help weight loss ~ like fresh fruits
& vegetables or maybe pure water.

me-at all. I went to an online pharmcy
and got phentermine, they are great!

Hoodia Is Not a Bad Idea Posted: 11-16-05 16:57pm
I've looked into hoodia a lot over the
years. It is considered safe (despite
what others have said) and effective
(despite what weil has said).
You have to know what it does: suppress
the appetite. Not make you burn off fat.
So you can't sit still and watch the
pounds melt away, but you'll be eating
less, which will make weight loss
easier.
It tricks the brain into thinking you're
full.
Go for good brands like source naturals,
paradise herbs, and flora. Bija tea has
a strong hoodia tea, too. That's the
only way to know if it's "clean" and does
not contain speed - or sawdust for that
matter.
Don't buy it onilne! No wonder they
didn't work! Get a trusted brand at a
vitamin/health food store.
I don't sell it, just so you know. :)

With all due respect, wizzard, they aren't
fakes - they're just competition for the
companies who paid the "certifier" to be
able to call themselves "the real deal."
naturally, they'll claim the ones that
carry their are the best, others are the
worst. It's simply marketing (and it
seems to have worked on a few people
here). How do we know that the "test
results" they put on their web page are
legit for that product? Because they put
a picture next to it? C'mon. At the
very least, it's basic marketing - at
worst, it's slander that could land them a
lawsuit.
The first website you offer is a
ceritfication service - it costs companies
money to get themselves *off* ther "shame"
list. "sure, well take you off our list,
just pay us $1700 this year and $1400 each
year after that! We'll put *new* test
results on our web page!" so, um, forgive
my lack of creativity when I say, "duh."
i don't know if the companies I mentioned
have independent tests of their own, and
i'm frankly not going to make the phone
calls since i'm not taking hoodia. But I
do know that just because one agency
claims to be the official certifiers
doesn't mean they're the only ones who
know how to do independent testing.
Here's another link, since we all like to
use them :)

so, as with anything, caveat emptor, don't
believe everything you read, and all that.

Hoodia Gordonii Does Work!!! Posted: 12-06-05 16:23pm
I've been taking hoodia gordonii, and let
me tell everyone, yes, it does work!!!
People just need to quit "bellying-up" to
the all-you-can-eat food bars, and take
these pills, knowing they will work.
There is no miracle pill out there that is
going to melt fat off, duh! All hoodia
does is suppress your appetite so you feel
fuller faster...It works!
I've lost some weight on it!

In my opinion, hoodia is effective for
some people.. You just need to make sure
you do your research and buy a product
with certification and no other nasties in
the mix.. Do your homework and you should
find something out there.. Its a
minefield tho.. Thats for sure..

Something Other Than Hoodia Posted: 08-10-07 16:38pm
I don't take Hoodia. It sounds too
controversial to be reliable. I take
something else that's all natural, doesn't
make me feel speedy or jittery, and I've
lost a bunch of weight with it. It's been
around for a long time, so I know it's not
just a fad dieting tool. I've had great
results with it.
