Help!! Is There Something Wrong With Me?? Posted: 05-24-05 16:23pm
I had an abortion about 2 weeks ago and I
don't think that any of this has set in.
I haven't been emotional about any of it.
I don't have any sense of relief or
regret. I always said i've been get an
abortion unless it was for medical
reasons. I was on birth control when I
got pregnant so it was really unexpected.
My bf of two years said that there was no
way we were ready for this, we are both 20
years old. He promise me we'd have
children in a few years when we were
financially stable. I need to talk to
someone about all this but I don't know
who to turn to. I don't know anyone who
has been through this...

I would consider myself lucky to not feel
regret nor much at all. In my case, the
moment I opened my eyes in the recovery
room after having had the abortion, I
regretted it intensely. Two years
later, I still regret it but talking about
it (over this website) has really helped
me. There are some really caring people
out here.

I would like to thank you for replying to
my message. It's nice to know someone
cares enough to take the time to write.
Many people read these messages and never
reply... I really appreciate your
kindness. I went back to the doctor last
week and I guess everything is fine. I
tried to ask questions and they wouldn't
answer me, they just looked the other way.
I'm so frustrated at the way the nurses
and docter treated me. But oh well....
What can I do now?? I just know that I
will not do that again. If anyone needs
to talk, i'd be happy to help in any way I
can. I wish I would have known about this
site earlier....
