Saw Baby's Heartbeat, But No Sign of Growing??? Posted: 05-25-05 06:29am
Hi,
i just wondered if anyone out there has
any idea about my scans, i've had 3 so far
due to bleeding and each time the fetus is
there with its heart beating and
everything looks ok, but they have told me
that it it hasn't grown in the last 6 days
and that I will miscarry.... Is that
definate, does anyone else have similar
happenings? I'm around 6 weeks acording
to the 1st scan thanks for your time :)

If a heartbeat is seen the chances of
miscarrying go down pretty low. I've
never been in your situation but I have
been in a similar one. I don't think that
they can predict with 100% accuracy that
you will miscarry. I had pretty bad
bleeding off and on for the first
trimester. My dr and I were convinced
that I was going to miscarry...I now have
a happy and healthy little boy.

Thanks for that, I did think maybe the
heartbeat was a good sign even though they
said possible enevitable miscarriage...
I'm just really confused, being pregnant
is sooo scary!! :)
Hey mom2trevor, did the bleeding resemble
a period? Or was it irregular bleeding,
and was it alot?? Sorry for the
interrogation, i'm just curious!

I am more than happy to answer questions!!
It was these kinds of boards that got me
through my pregnancy!!
Wanabamom--around 6 weeks I had light
spotting (a week before I learned I was
pregnant)
at 7wks 3 days (the day I found out I was
pregnant) I spotted all day.
At 9wks I had bright red bleeding that
lasted for 2 days (very heavy with clots)
at 12wks 6days..I was lying on the couch
watching a movie and stood up to go to the
bathroom...When I got up blood was running
down my leg. It was bright red with lots
of clots it lasted for about 4 days.
At around 14wks...All bleeding stopped and
baby was fine :)
all of my bleeding was unexplained. I had
u/s after u/s and they could find nothing
at all wrong.
