I am working on an article for a magazine about cosmetic surgery gone wrong and I wondered if anyone had photos of any cosmetic surgery that had gone wrong in particular nose jobs, ears, collegan and lipo.

Many thanks

Surgery Gone Wrong

Hi,
how about such a rare infection called mycobacterium abscessus that takes about a year of nasty antibiotics causing all kinds of side affects like fungal problems, no guarantees that the infection won't come back so I can't have reconstruction (i had breast augmentation), you feel like you have the flu so bad that you can barely get out of bed every day to go to work and then when you try to get an attorney to help you out they ask if you signed that paper before surgery saying "i understand the risks of infection, blah, blah". Well, yeah of course I did. I have been in the medical field for twenty some years. But staph infection is one thing, this is another whole ball game. I only have a month till my statute of limitations runs out and alot of medical bills to pay and a cocky plastic surgeon that said I was "the case from hell" who just wants me to sign an arbitration. But what about everything i've gone through, the surgeries, working with drain tubes coming out of my chest, and now the way I look? I guess this is a lesson spiritually for me to learn, but I feel he also should learn something spiritually too. But he is so caught up in his glamour life that he doesn't see people as indivuals anymore, I was there working with the other plastic surgeon one day and the guy who did mine did six "boob jobs " and still had time to do postop checks. Hmmm, now that's what I call quality care

Bad Nose Job!!!
Posted: 11-04-05 07:52am

In september of 2004 I had private surgery to the nose. I was advised that in 2 months the recovery should be complete. I then went back after 2 months with the facial area very swollen. I was then told it could take up to six months and later on I was told it could be up to a year.
As a result of this surgery I cannot breath properly through the nostrils, my face is still swollen, i've got strange headache that i've never had before, and the nose job is bad done.
I believe that I have been given incorrect information by the surgeon and as a result of this my life had been adversely affected.
I had to leave my job, cannot breath properly, swimming, going to the gym and it has affected my sleeping patterns.

lipo gone wrong

I had a doctor convince to do a fat transfer. Where he performed the lipo on my back, it's all indented and irregular now. Dont think there's any cure for that either. Doctor either went to deep, or tried to suck fat out, where there was none. But instead it was just loose skin. Live and learn!
