Seasonale & Moodiness
Posted: 05-26-05 09:49am

I've just switched to seasonale because I have bad cramps and headaches when i'm on my period, so I thought this was a good choice. I am experiencing extreme moodiness and can cry at the drop of a hat. I don't feel like myself anymore and am getting concerned because others have noticed, my husband included. Although my sex drive has increased, I feel angry or sad a lot of the time. I'm only into week 3, but i'm debating if I should go back to my other pills. I did very well on them, but looked forward to the 4 periods/year thing. I don't know if this is all in my head or if this pill really can do this but i'm trying to decide if I should wait another month or switch back. My husband and I usually get along very well but lately i'm upset about everything! Other than that I haven't noticed other major changes, but then again, i'm just starting. I'd appreciate any advice.

I recently went on seasonale because the thought of 4 periods a year sounded good. I am here to tell you that it made me so moody and upset feeling, I hate this pill, I am going back to yasmin. Plus on seasonale you bleed all the time it seems like and on yasmin my periods were so predictable. '

Seasonale: Weight Gain

Well, I have been on seasonale for almost a year now. It is o.K. When it comes to periods. They are not to bad and are short. But, my moods!! Oh my gosh! I am either happy or crying. Or throwing objects!Haha! Also, my weight has went up and I haven't changed anything in my diet or exercise. Has anyone noticed weight gain? Maybe it is me, but it is not fun.

Just started my 5th month on seasonale. I have really noticed a difference in my moods...Extremely upset, angry, and depressed at certain times. I don't know if I can continue with this...I don't feel like myself.

[i have been on seasonale for about 18 months now and I take it continuously without having 4 periods per year. I do this because I have endometriosis and it causeses me to have nearly constant bleeding and cramping. At any rate, I am about to try to switch to something else because I have absolutley no sex drive at all. I also have had moodiness and more acne problems and possibly some weight gain. Anyone have any suggestions on a bcp with low sexual side effects?
Thanks
