Q: Pregnancy After Stopping the Pill

Hello! I am 9 weeks pregnant and I found out I was pregnant when I was 3 weeks. I got pregnant 2 weeks after stopping my birth control pills and started to show at 4-5 weeks. This is my third pregnancy and my first was a miscarriage. I look as if I were at least 4 months pregnant right now. But I read that concieving within the first month after stopping birthcontrol can increase your chances of having twims by 50%. Is this true??? And how common is it to happen? Twins don't run in my family but there are 4 sets of twins in my husbands family. I just have a gut feeling that something is a little different with this pregnancy. I am in bed exhausted and nauseated more then I am up during the day. It is worse then both previous pregnancies. What are the odds that I would be pregnant with twins considering the above??? I go for my first Dr. Appt next friday so I am just curious as to what signs I should look for. Thanks to anyone who can be of some help!

Im not quite sure if you would start to show that early, with or without twins. Ask your doctor to do an ultrasound and make sure that you are not experiencing an eptopic pregnancy. This type of pregnancy may cause your stomach to swell, which may be the reason you think you are showing. Please let us know when you find out.
