Q: Painting And Pregnancy - Should I Worry?

I am five months pregnant and was painting in my living room - all windows open, all doors open, and two fans going. About half an hour into it, I realized I was using oil-based paint. I quickly left the house and didn't return for several hours. My husband painted over it the next day with primer and water-based paint (i stayed away). Do I have anything to worry about?

I think that because of the precautions you took your baby will be just fine. Just please dont sit in a room that has heavy paint thinner fumes, or heavy paint fumes for that matter. Not only could it hurt the baby, you could loose a few brain cells too. Lol

I think you'll be fine. Also with painting they don't want you using a roller as the up and down repetitive movements can cause probs. Dont ask me what, that's what my nurse and doc said..
