Is an altered mental state following
dehydration permanent? Dehydration was
brought on by diarrhea. Patient is an 85
years old diabetic.

But I am fairly young. In my experience,
I felt better within a short of time of
rehydration.
I don't know if diabetes and/or age slow
or prevent complete recovery from
dehydration or if lasting damage can
occurr.
