Brown Discharge For 8 Months! Posted: 05-30-05 21:00pm
I posted this a while ago on women's
health and havent gotten a response.
Maybe this is a better place to post.
I was on the depo shot for about a year
and a half. The first year was great. I
loved not having a period. Then I started
spotting. And it never stopped! I
figured it must be from the shot so I
switched to the pill. I have been on the
pill for 2 months now and I am still
having the exact same dark brown
discharge. It is so annoying because it
isn't heavy enough to use a tampon but it
is enough to ruin my underware! Any
ideas? Please help, i'm open to anything!

Make a gyno appointment! That's the best
thing to do!

I was on the pill for first month and on
the 18th day of that month I had drown
discharge. I called my doctor and I was
told to throw that pack away and let my
period come. Well I did just that and I
was bleeding for 30 day. I then switched
to the patch. I've had no problems.
I've been on the patch for 3 months now
but I did gain a little wait.... I hope
this help you

Thanks for your suggestions.

well I called my dr and told her what was
going on. She told me that it was regular
to be irregular and that I should give it
two more months. She said if I still am
having the brown discharge then I should
come in for an appointment. But now it
seems like the discharge is getting even
darker, almost black at times. I am so
frustrated!

I would call the dr again and tell what's
going on now. I would make an
appointment asap. I think you need some
piece of mind. Tell your dr that you are
getting weak so she could squeeze you in.
It's your body and you know how much you
can take. That what I would do if I was
in your situation. I hope everything
works out for you. I'm praying for
you.....

You could have a uterine cyst. It's
really important that you bring this to
your doctor's attention cause cysts can
sometimes do a bit of damage to your
organs.
