Possible Miscarriage?
Posted: 06-01-05 18:34pm

Hi. I'm new here and i'm hoping I can find some help here. I've recently been on birth control. I just started my cycle but it's acting really odd this time. For the past 3 or four days i've been having back pain (i handle it with a heating pad) and today when my monthly cyle started, I was cramping in my lower abdomin very painfully (hurt to move at all). Some time while taking a shower I passed what can only be described as a whiteish/gray, slightly lumpy, sac-like matter that could have been said the size of half-a-tennisball. The cramping i've been having all morning suddenly stopped a few minutes later. It obviously scares me and i'm a little unsettled and sad that my birth control could have prevented a pregnancy in a manner such as an early miscarriage. Is it possible I miscarraiged?...

Hi there! You definitely should be checked out by your doc and possibly get a d n c and tell the doc everything that happened.
Sincerely,

I agree with sandyallen you should go to the doc and be checked out and let them know exactly what happened and describe everything.

Doesn;'t really sound like a miscarriage as it would not have looked like that or been that big at this time but you should go to a doc's and get checked out.

I agree with them, have it checked. When did you stop your birth control? Usually it takes 3 to 6 months before you can successfully conceive. Some took 2 months the earliest. I recently stopped my birth control and it took me 3 months to conceive. I am pregnant now (14 weeks). I don't think you miscarried but yeah, have it checked to be sure. Take it easy.
