Orthotrycyclen Lo ???? Info...pregnancy ? Posted: 06-03-05 10:52am
Hello everybody :-) it's the first time I
am posting but I have been wondering about
orthotrycyclen lo for awhile after reading
that some people got pregnant while taking
it...
And also reading that strange article http://www.Thepo
lypost.Com/story.Php?Story=2507
i have been on this pill since august, my
bf and I stopped using condoms about 4
months ago. Now that i'm only on the pill
I freak out very easily. Right now I have
been having a fever and we do not know
where it's from...I stop the pill tomorrow
so should have my periods on monday...
Do u think the tests in drugstores that u
can take before the 1st day of ur period
is efficient ?
Thanks for letting me know about all this.
I'm going back home for the summer
(france) and I might ask my gyno to put me
back on my "old" pill just to feel safer.
It's just easier to be able to get refills
in the us since I live here right now....

I've been on ortho tricyclen lo for over a
year now and i've had no problems, or
worries. Sometimes (not all the time) the
reason birth control fails is because it
isn't taken properly.
If you're late taking it all the time, or
miss pills constantly, then you may get
pregnant. But if you're taking them on
time every day, your body won't build the
lining it needs to get pregnant... Or
something to that effect.
I personally like ortho tricyclen lo.
Lower hormones and lower risks of blood
clots, stroke, etc. And, my cycles are
anywhere from 2 to 4 days and super
light!!
but everyone is different and it's
important to find what works best for you.
If you're uncomfortable with your current
pill, i'd definately talk with a doctor!

Hi catgirl,
i have been on orthotryclen lo for over a
month now. Did you experience
breakthrough bleeding when you first
started the pill? How long did it take
for your periods to become lighter?

I had switched from the ortho... To the
ortho...Lo as soon as it was offered. I
took it from when it came out to the end
of march this year. I never had any
issues with it. (i missed a pill once in
a while, took it the next morning, and
still had no problems) the only time I
used condoms, was for the 1st month being
on it. (i was in an very monogomas long
term relationship, hopefully you are too
if youre not using condoms.)

Hello everybody :-)
thanks for all your replies, I just freak
out very easily I think...I am in a
monogamous long term relationship which is
why we stopped using condoms...
I just read scary things about this
pill...Which got me worried but so far
it's ok...Maybe a little more moody than
usual but at least my bf tries to blame it
on the pill (good excuse :-) )
take care

Saucy,
my cycles became lighter after about a
month or two. Sometimes, though, i'll get
a heavier one and sometimes the light ones
are drawn out for 4 or 5 days. It's rare,
but does happen. Other than that, I have
very little cramping and taking ibuprophen
3 days before (to build up in my system)
really helps.
The only side effect I seem to have is I
cry easier during that time... But i'd
probably do that anyway without the pill.
