Possible After Miscarriage? Posted: 11-11-03 20:34pm
Is it possible that if I had sex maybe 4
days after a miscarriage unprotected that
I could become pregnant? When I went to
the doctor I was having sex unprotected
regularly. Is it possible too that maybe
there was still sperm in my ovaries or
fillopian tube area that couldve survived
and caused me to become pregnant? My af
is always regular and on time. As I have
stated before my period was wayyy past
due. I was due on the 2nd of november.
Now its the 12th and no sign. On the 27th
of october I was experiencing light
spotting. I thought it was my period
coming down. But it wasnt. I dont know
what to think about. Im just going to
wait another week to see if my period will
fall.

It's possible that your period may be
irregular due to the miscarriage. Just
like your period doesn't return right away
after having a baby, the same could be
true after a miscarriage. I am not a Dr.
So this is just a guess, I don't know for
sure. I would wait a while longer and
then either take a test or go see your
doctor. Hope everything turns out okay.

Ok, you had a miscarriage correct? I
wasnt quite sure if you said you had one
or not? If you did have a miscarriage,
and you had sex 4 days later, and you
didnt use protection it could be possible
that you could become pregnant, but I have
not been pregnant myself yet, so I am not
sure if there is a time issue from when
you have a miscarriage and how long after
it takes to get pregnant again. If you
are more than a week late, I wouldn't wait
around any longer I would call the doctor
and ask what they think, but if you did
have a miscarriage then your period may be
messed up, and will be late. Just to be
on the safe side I would call your doctor
and ask for a professional opinion. I
hope that you are trying to become
pregnant, if not I think it's about time
you see your doctor about birth
control!!!!

have unprotected sex again!!!!!!!? Oh my
gosh. I dont know what to say, im
speechless. Its like your asking for this
mess! Its not a game, get some condoms
until your on birth control! Geez how
hard is that!!? Ill send you some condoms
if I have to!!
Wait messy children? Like who? Everyone
knows who you are though so why not leave
your name? Either way I dont know what to
say. But that you bring this upon
yourself.

Nikki, I know that what I did was stupid.
But I kind of already put this post and
you replied and we had this discussion. I
cannot get into the ob/gyn until december
for the patch. I have heard many good
things about it and desperately want to
get on it. I am not asking to get
pregnant. We do, in fact have condoms.
Actually, we have like 40. His mom went
on a spree of condoms! About the
stupidity of all of this...It is
extreemely high!!!! Man, I am definately
a retard for this!
I did have a miscarriage. But the doctor
also told me that it was not impossible
for me to just be too early on to detect
on the vaginal u/s. I told her about the
sex a few days before and she said that
that might be the case. Although I highly
doubt it. I also highly doubt that I am
indeed pregnant. I just want to make
sure. Maybe it is the fact that just last
month I had a miscarriage and it is
messing up my cycle. Or maybe after my
miscarriage I immediatly releaased an egg
and the sperm for the previos days
implanted into the egg. caca, I dont
know. I am not going to wait too much
longer to see if I am or not.

you nikki. I know that I am stupid for
all of this, but I guess in some people's
cases (like me) we have to learn the hard
way. But you would think that a
miscarriage would me the "hard way"
oh well...I will definately keep everyone
updated!
Ps...I was not putting my name because
some of my boyfriend family members were
reading it and claiming that I was writing
"nasty things about him". As we all know,
that is not true. Oh well!!

Youve never really written anything bad
about him. Either way if you have like a
million condoms, you should use them until
december. Or just hold off until then.
You could end up having another
miscarriage. Your risking it. And you
shouldnt have to keep learning things the
hard way if you can avoid it and go the
easy way. Why do you have to wait until
december? Find a new doc. I get in like
the following week of making an
appointment. Either way, be safe for now.
You keep saying your retarted and dumb
for this but yet you continue it. I dont
get it. Just be careful.
