Need Professional Advice

Ok.. Im 16 years old and I was hoping I can find some real professional advice on this site rather than people just saying "go see a doctor." I dont know how many of you have heard of the cold medicine coricidine cough and cold but it contains a drug called dextromethorphan. Taking enough of it can cause a "high". It contains 16 pills a box and 30mg of dex a pill. Anyways I heard about it from some friends and they convienced me to try it, and I liked it. Over time I developed an addiction for it. Not knowing what to do other than take more pills I would find myself doing this reguarly. I would sometimes take up to 3 boxes a day. I did this for a few months, but I have been able to stay off of it lately. But iv been having very weird sleep problems. I would get enough sleep at night, and come home from school, and take a nap around 6 and waking up around 9, and then going to bed that night at like 11 and gettin a full nights sleep. And repeating it the next day. Its been happening for about a week and its been an everyday thing. This has never been a problem for me in the past. Iv been reading different sites about liver problems and it says that "severy fatigue" is a symptom, and also lose of appitite wich I also have. Well if anybody knows anything or knows if this could be possible liver problems please help me out.

Your fatigue could be caused by withdrawal symptons from the cough medicine you were abusing. You shoudn't do that. No good will come of it.

If you fatigue and appetitie loss doesn't improve in a few weeks, then do go see a doctor. A simple blood test will be able to determine if you have elevated liver enzymes, which are an indication of liver problems.
