I know that you have to wait til her the
first day of a missed period to take a
hpt, but can you take it at any point in
time after that? My girlfriend has had
her period, we think... Shes pretty
positive but im still scared. Are hpts
effective no matter when during a
pregnancy you would take them?
Say if she were pregnant and shes 4 weeks
in to the pregnancy, would the hpt show a
positive? Or would it be inconclusive?
She can take it anytime after her period
would of started. So if she's had a
"period" then she can take one, the later
she takes it the better the results are,
because when a girl is pregnant the
hormone builds up in her system and it's
easier to detect on a hpt. They also
recommend first morning urine, but it's
not necessary. Just make sure that when
she does take one, that she hasn't
urinated in 4 hours....Try to at least!
